The US$109m stadium with its spectacular transparent roof - 'the veil' - was built on the site of the old Antas stadium and is part of the 'Sport City' redevelopment project.
Porto
Estádio das Antas- 52,000 capacity.
The Estádio das Antas is the new home of one of Portugal's top clubs - FC Porto.
The new stadium is located in Săo Joăo da Venda, midway between Faro and Loulé, and is part of the new Parque das Cidades development.
Faro/Loulé
Estádio Algarve - 30,000 capacity.
The new US$34.6m Estádio Algarve is home to both first division club SC Farense and Loulé's less glamorous Louletano.

Semi finals: 30 June & 1 July 2004
Final: 4 July 2004 in Lisbon
Opening match: 12 June 2004 in Porto
End of Group Stage: 23 June 2004
Euro2004 matches will take place at the club's home ground, Estádio Municipal Dr. Magalhăes Pessoa. It has a capacity of 30,000 and will be undergoing improvements costing around US$30 million prior to the championships.
Leiria
Estádio Municipal Dr. Magalhăes Pessoa - 30,000 capacity.
Leiria is home to Uniăo de Leiria, a solid first division side in the Portuguese domestic league.
Thanks to Euro2004, the team will soon be playing in a brand new stadium that is being purpose-built for the tournament. The US$39 million Estádio Municipal will have a capacity of 30,000.
Aveiro
Estádio Municipal de Aveiro - 30,000 capacity.
Aveiro is home to SC Beira Mar, a decent second division side in the Portuguese domestic league that plays its home matches at the 14,000 capacity Estádio Mario Duarte.
Euro2004 matches will take place at the club's home ground, Estádio Dom Afonso Henriques. It has a capacity of 30,000 and will be undergoing improvements costing around US$28 million prior to the championships
Guimarăes
Estádio Dom Afonso Henriques  - 30,000 capacity.
Guimaržes is home to Vitoria Guimarăes.
The new development around the stadium includes a swimming pool, a running track, a multiplex cinema and underground parking.
Coimbra
Estádio Municipal de Coimbra - 30,000 capacity.
Coimbra is home to Associaçăo Académica de Coimbra and their existing 14,000 capacity stadium was remodelled at a cost of US$40.2m.
Their new US$80.4m home is located in a spectacular setting - carved out of the granite of Monte Castro.
Braga
Estádio Municipal de Braga - 30,000 capacity.
Braga is home to Sporting Clube de Braga
The US$89m project is part of a larger development incorporating a shopping complex, a bowling alley, a multiplex cinema and numerous restaurants.
Lisbon
Estádio José Alvalade - 52,000 capacity.
The Estádio José Alvalade is the new home of Sporting Lisbon and built alongside Sporting's old stadium.
Estadio da Luz
Estadio do Bessa
The design focuses on the 'light' theme of the stadium's name (taken from the name of the locality) and the surrounding development incorporates facilities for other sports, a swimming pool, restaurants and an entertainment centre. Estádio da Luz is the venue for the Euro2004 final.
Lisbon
Estádio da Luz  - 65,000 capacity.
The Estádio da Luz replaces the old world famous Luz stadium at a cost of US$133m and is the home of Portugal's most famous club - Benfica.
The US$46m redevelopment project includes a hotel, underground parking and a conference centre.
Porto
Estádio do Bessa Séc. XXI - 30,000 capacity.
The Estádio do Bessa Séc. XXI is the home of Porto's other top club - FC Boavista - champions for the first time in their history in 2001.
